What is the ACO and why should I join?
The ACO (Augustana Computer Organization) is Augustana's only active computer club. The ACO is open to all students (you don't have to know anything about computers to join).
ACO members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities throughout the year. Members also have the chance to meet and begin networking with leading members of the midwestern business community.
Regardless of your area of interest, the ACO has something for you. If you are interested in the technical aspect of computers, the ACO is a place for you to expand your knowledge beyond the topics that are covered in the classroom with other students and professors. If you have absolutely no interest in the technical aspect of computers, but are considering future job options, the ACO is a place for you to begin meeting and interacting with top managers and CEO's in the region. If you don't care about advanced computer topics (such as Artificial Intelligence or Theory) and you aren't currently looking for a job, then the ACO is a place for you to begin developing a basic understanding and knowledge of computers.
- Alright, you've convinced me. How do I join?
